The Dean of the College of Agriculture, University of Kirkuk, Assistant Professor Dr. Osamah Ibrahim Ahmed, chaired a committee discussing a master’s thesis by student Ahmed Zuhair Qasim, Department of Forestry Sciences, College of Agriculture and Forestry, University of Mosul.
The Dean of the College explained that the committee he headed discussed the thesis entitled, Study of the environmental impact on the anatomical characteristics and specific weight of ash trees growing in Dohuk Governorate.
The Dean of the College stated that the study concluded that there was a difference in the texture of the soil in the studied sites, and in its content of organic matter (OM), phosphorus (P), sodium (Na), and potassium (K). As for the degree of soil interaction of the studied sites (pH), all soils were neutral. It tends to be alkaline, as it is a low-salinity soil.
