As Part of Its Plans to Adopt Renewable Energy and Make Its Buildings Environmentally Friendly, the College of Agriculture at the University of Kirkuk Installs the First Phase of a Solar Energy System
Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Agriculture, Assistant Professor Dr. Osama Ibrahim Ahmed, and with the follow-up of the college’s Engineering Division Director, Engineer Mohammed Abdulkarim Mansour, along with Engineer Abdullah Fawzi Nouri, the first phase of the solar energy system for electricity generation has been installed. This initiative aligns with the college council’s strategic plans to adopt renewable energy sources and transform the college’s buildings into eco-friendly facilities.
The Engineering Division Director stated that, with on-site supervision from himself and his team, the first phase of the solar energy system installation has been successfully completed. He emphasized that the project will be further developed to achieve self-sufficiency, eliminate the reliance on diesel generators, and meet the green building standards encouraged by the Prime Minister.
