A master’s thesis at the College of Agriculture discussed the effect of spraying period and herbicides on the growth, yield and quality of soybeans Glycin max L, by the student Sakar Jabbar Johar, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Abdel Moein Shabib Hamad.
The study aimed to determine the effect of the herbicide lmazethapyr and the Bentazone+ Gallant super mixture, in the recommended quantities of each of these pesticides, and the spraying periods of these pesticides, which included four periods of two weeks, four weeks, six weeks, and eight weeks, after the germination of the Shaima soybean crop.
The study concluded that the mixture consisting of the pesticides Gallant super+ Bentazone and the pesticide lmazethapyr was effective on most of the harmful weeds, and that the use of spraying intervals of 4 and 6 weeks after the germination of the Shaima soybean crop was effective on the harmful weeds, and that most of the characteristics were vegetative growth, yield and quality. It was morale.
