A Master’s thesis at the College of Agriculture, University of Kirkuk, compared the physiological effects of administering different concentrations of aqueous shilajit solution and vitamin C on the biological indicators and hematological, biochemical, and hormonal parameters of Awassi ewes during the summer season.
The thesis, submitted by Khanzad Midhat Kukha Awla, aimed to evaluate and compare the effectiveness of administering different concentrations of aqueous shilajit solution and vitamin C in improving selected biological, hematological, biochemical, and hormonal indicators in Awassi ewes, as well as to determine the optimal concentration of each substance for reducing the adverse effects of heat stress during the summer season.
The study concluded that shilajit at a concentration of 100 mg was more effective than vitamin C in improving the traits evaluated in the experiment.
