The College of Agriculture launches an awareness campaign on the importance of afforestation

The Afforestation Unit at the College of Agriculture, University of Kirkuk, in cooperation with the Student Activities Division and the Kirkuk Traffic Department, organized an awareness campaign for the citizens of Kirkuk Governorate, urging them on the importance of afforestation for humans and the environment. The head of the Afforestation Unit at the college, Mrs. Umaima Abdulsamad Hassan, explained that within the activities of the Afforestation Unit, an awareness campaign was organized for the citizens of Kirkuk Governorate, which included distributing brochures urging and encouraging afforestation for its benefits for humans and the environment. The campaign also included distributing seedlings for planting by citizens in courtyards and in front of homes, for their aesthetic and environmental benefits for the governorate.
