The College of Agriculture at the University of Kirkuk Organized a Scientific Visit for Its Students to the Fourth International Agriculture and Food Industries Exhibition in Sulaymaniyah Province.
Dr. Zirak Mohammed Rustum-Khan, head of the visiting delegation—which included a number of faculty members and students—explained that the exhibition showcased a range of advanced technologies, including agricultural drones used for crop monitoring and farm management, as well as smart tools for poultry and livestock production, which contribute to improving agricultural productivity.

He added that the exhibition also featured renewable energy technologies, particularly clean energy generation turbines, in addition to protected agriculture technologies that rely on artificial intelligence tools to control climatic conditions inside greenhouses, thereby supporting the principles of sustainable agriculture.

Meanwhile, Assistant Lecturer Mustafa Sabah Hameed, Director of the Student Activities Division at the College, stated that this visit comes as part of the College of Agriculture’s commitment to enhancing students’ practical skills and linking theoretical knowledge with field application, in line with modern scientific and technological developments in the agricultural sector.
