The College of Agriculture at the University of Kirkuk Organizes a Tree-Planting Campaign on Campus

Under the patronage and supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Osama Ibrahim Ahmed, Dean of the College of Agriculture, and in implementation of the directives of the Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the Presidency of the University of Kirkuk, the Student Activities Unit, in cooperation with the Afforestation Unit, organized a tree-planting campaign within the college premises with the participation of faculty members, staff, and students, on the occasion of the Iraqi National Day, celebrated on October 3rd.

The Dean explained that the National Day is a commemoration that reflects the spirit of national unity and belonging to Iraq, and represents an opportunity to renew the pledge to work toward building a strong and independent state.

He added that love for the homeland is expressed through efforts to build and develop it in all fields, emphasizing that promoting a culture of agriculture and tree planting among youth is a patriotic act, given its significant environmental, economic, and social benefits for the country.
