A student volunteer initiative was launched at the College of Agriculture, University of Kirkuk, aimed at highlighting the importance of utilizing the summer vacation for university students in activities that serve the community and enhance the humanitarian role of universities.
The Director of the Student Activities Unit at the College, Asst. Lecturer Ahmed Salahuddin Bahaa Al-Din, explained that in implementation of the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research — Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority, Student Activities Department / Voluntary Work Division — the college’s volunteer team organized an initiative to distribute brochures to the college staff. These brochures called for protecting the environment by encouraging agriculture, reducing plastic consumption, lowering energy use, turning toward renewable energy, conserving water, as well as waste separation and recycling.
