Under the patronage and supervision of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Osamah Ibrahim Ahmed, the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Design organized a training course on modern trends in establishing and serving orchards, in the presence of the Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Muhammad Abdulrahim Mohammed, and the participation of agricultural engineers from the college and agricultural departments in the governorate. The course included a lecture by the lecturer in the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering, Assistant Professor Dr. Raad Ahmed Midan, in which he addressed the modern scientific foundations in establishing orchards from choosing the site and varieties, planting methods and distances between trees, because establishing fruit farms is a long-term project, so we must realize the importance of the correct start to this project, because any error that may occur during planning or in choosing the variety, area or suitable soil may be difficult to correct in the future.
