In implementation of the directives of the President of the University of Kirkuk, Professor Dr. Imran Jamal Hassan, under the slogan “Towards Globalization,” the College of Agriculture hosted the French professor Dr. Mohamed Hawandi from the Agro Dijon Institute in France to deliver a lecture on research ideas and projects in the agricultural field. The lecture also addressed mechanisms for forming joint research teams between scientific institutions, such as the College of Agriculture at the University of Kirkuk and researchers from the French institute, as well as involving students in proposing research ideas, participating in decision-making, and working to transform these ideas into research projects.
The Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Osamah Ibrahim Ahmed, explained that the visiting researcher presented scientific horizons through which joint experimental research can be conducted with the French institute. He added that the researcher also presented an illustrative overview of the institute’s capabilities, its research fields, and a number of modern agricultural experiments currently being carried out in cooperation with academic institutions in Peru, Vietnam, and other countries.
