The Dean and the Rapporteur of the Department of Forestry Sciences participate in the expanded meeting of the Regional Forest Project in Kirkuk

In the presence of Mr. Rakan Saeed Al-Jubouri, Governor of Kirkuk, his technical assistant, and directors of relevant departments, the Dean of the College of Agriculture, University of Kirkuk, Assistant Professor Dr. Osamah Ibrahim Ahmed, and the Forestry Sciences Department’s rapporteur, Asst. Lect. Mohammed Muntaz Ibrahim, participated in the expanded meeting held this day in the governorate building. To discuss the mechanism for implementing the regional forest project, the first phase of which is scheduled to be implemented this year. The Dean of the College of Agriculture explained that the regional forest project that the Kirkuk Governorate Administration intends to implement in stages, the first phase of which will begin this year, on an area of 8,000 dunums, will add a new tourist site in Kirkuk, in addition to its environmental benefits, adding that this project comes In implementation of the Prime Minister’s directives to increase green areas with the aim of preserving the environment and its safety in Kirkuk and on the occasion of National Afforestation Day.
