Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Agriculture, University of Kirkuk, Assistant Professor Dr. Osama Ibrahim Ahmed, the psychological counseling, educational guidance and women’s empowerment units in the college launched an awareness campaign against the harms of smoking under the title “I will not smoke.” It included the college’s staff and students, by distributing awareness brochures and leaflets to them to inform them of the harms of smoking.

The two officials in charge of the Psychological Counseling & Educational Guidance, and Women’s Empowerment Unit explained that the campaign aimed to inform members and students of the health damage caused by smoking, which may lead to death, in the case of cigarettes and electronic hookahs, which have recently spread widely among young people, which necessitated alerting the younger generation to the dangers that they pose.
