The Dean of the College of Agriculture at the University of Kirkuk, Assistant Professor Dr. Osamah Ibrahim Ahmed, participated in the periodic meeting of the Committee of Deans of Colleges of Agriculture in Iraq, which was hosted by the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University of Duhok. The meeting was also attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Mohammed Nouri, Head of the Department of Agricultural Machinery and Equipment at the College of Agriculture, University of Kirkuk.
The Dean explained that the meeting brought together deans of agricultural colleges from across Iraq to discuss issues related to the current state of the agricultural sector, academic curricula, the impact of labor market demands on agricultural education, and the challenges facing both the agricultural and agricultural education sectors.
He added that the participants exchanged views and explored appropriate solutions aimed at improving agricultural education, aligning academic programs with labor market requirements, and supporting the sustainable development of Iraq’s agricultural sector.
