The College of Agriculture at the University of Kirkuk has renewed its cooperation agreement with the Agricultural Extension and Training Center in the province, as part of joint efforts to advance the agricultural sector and enhance research and development services for farmers.
During the signing session of the agreement with the Center’s Director, Senior Agricultural Engineer Hussein Ali Khalil, and his deputy, Dr. Mohammed Abbas Sadiq, the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Osama Ibrahim Ahmed, explained that renewing the agreement serves the interests of both sides, since the Agricultural Extension and Training Center acts as a vital link between academic agricultural research and farmers.
The Dean added that the agreement includes organizing joint seminars and workshops, as well as the participation of faculty members from the College of Agriculture in delivering lectures through activities organized by both parties. The aim is to develop the efficiency of staff working in the extension centers, raise awareness among farmers, and guide them towards the use of modern agricultural technologies.
