The Department of Smart Agriculture at the College of Agriculture, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Division, organized a specialized workshop entitled “Smart Agriculture: From Fields to Digital Farms.” The workshop was attended by the College Dean, faculty members, and undergraduate and postgraduate students.
The workshop featured a lecture delivered by Engineer Muzaffar Amin Abdul Razzaq from Al-Hayat Agricultural Materials Trading Company, who highlighted the importance of transitioning from traditional fields to digital farms and the significant benefits this transformation offers in increasing production and developing the agricultural sector.
He explained that smart agriculture devices provide agricultural professionals with accurate and comprehensive information about their fields. These include early pest-detection devices, weather monitoring stations, and satellite-based systems for monitoring field crops.
