The Safety and Biosecurity Unit at the College of Pharmacy held a scientific symposium entitled (Occupational Safety) on Tuesday morning, 02/20/2024.
The symposium included a lecture in which Assistant Lecturer Mustafa Nabil Mardan explained safety methods in cases of electrical short circuits or fires in the workplace. He also explained the types of threats resulting from electrical short circuits, their methods and causes, and how to deal with them.
The symposium concluded with a short intervention from the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Nashwan Omar Rasheed, addressing the students in particular, in which he stressed the urgent need to adopt occupational safety recommendations in scientific laboratories and the college’s corridors.
