The Pharmaceutical Chemistry Branch was established at the College of Pharmacy / University of Kirkuk in the year 2019. The department teaches the basic branches of chemical sciences, which are organic, analytical, inorganic, physical, and the chemical synthesis of drugs. It provides students with basic information about chemical compounds, chemical reactions, calibration of chemical solutions, and their pharmaceutical effects, and provides students with knowledge With the basic relationship between chemistry and pharmacy, the branch also contributes in cooperation with the rest of the college’s branches to prepare competent pharmacists who are ready to work in all regions of Iraq and provide pharmaceutical and health services to the citizen in all public and private sectors.

Branch Vision:
Achieving international standards in teaching chemistry and pharmaceutical chemistry, as well as scientific research, through teaching curricula and using international methodical books to reach the level of international colleges.

Branch Goals::
Teaching students chemistry in its various branches, including (analytical, organic, inorganic, physical, biochemistry, and medicinal chemistry) for the bachelor’s degree level by faculty members through an approved study plan. Preparing students to practice the pharmacy profession and establishing basic pharmaceutical chemistry sciences while developing the student’s priority skills. .
Opening future horizons and attracting students towards specialized programs and better pharmaceutical plans. Guiding students towards interacting with surrounding environmental problems, developing solutions for them, and playing an effective and influential role in the field of pharmaceutical manufacturing, analysis and quality control.
