The Administrative Assistant of the College of Pharmacy participates in a workshop entitled Women, Security and Peace

The head of the Women’s Empowerment Unit, Assistant Professor Dr. Amira Kamal Muhammad, teaching at the College of Pharmacy and Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, participated on Thursday morning, 7/13/2023, in a workshop entitled (Women, Security, and Peace) with the participation of a number of representatives and officials of the women’s empowerment divisions and units in Kirkuk Governorate and some of its departments. Which was held in the city of Erbil for three days, sponsored by the Hanasi Nawa Organization for Women’s Voice Programs.
The workshop aimed to build and enhance the capabilities and units of women’s empowerment, through which it seeks to eliminate all manifestations of discrimination against women, to make them an active element and leader who participates in decision-making, influences its formulation and strategic activation, and is capable of achieving sustainable development, as well as strengthening their role in governance, decision-making, and exchanging experiences for advancement. On the agenda of the women’s protection and security system in Iraq.
The workshop included a series of lectures, including a lecture on (governance skills, the rule of law, the ability to make timely decisions, communication skills and the role of crisis management in conflict resolution) delivered by Dr. Salah Oreibi from the College of Arts/University of Kirkuk, and another lecture on (strengthening the role of women in governance). Decision making and negotiation skills by Ms. Alia Abbas Muhammad, head of the Women’s Empowerment Unit in the Kirkuk Health Department.
