A lecturer at the College of Pharmacy participates as a member in discussing a master’s thesis for a female student at the College of Science, University of Kirkuk

Professor Dr. Muhammad Talat Abbas, a lecturer at the College of Pharmacy and Head of the Clinical Laboratory Sciences Department, participated on Sunday morning, 2024/3/10, as a member of the committee to discuss the master's thesis of the student Zainab Ismat Ismail Taha in the Department of Chemistry, College of Science, University of Kirkuk, and an employee of the College of Pharmacy under the supervision of Professor Dr. Israa Ghassan Akram. Dr. Muhammad Talat Abbas explained that the student's thesis entitled (Biochemical Estimation of Human Serum Albumin Glycation in Patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis) aimed to determine the extent of glycation in human serum albumin in patients with rheumatoid arthritis and to try to find inhibitors for this glycation. The student concluded that the level of glycation is higher in patients compared to healthy people and after using different concentrations of vitamin C and E after incubation for 72 hours and that a temperature of 37 showed that inhibition increases with increasing concentration of the vitamin in purified albumin and bovine albumin.
