Under the patronage of the President of Kirkuk University, Prof. Dr. Imran Jamal Hassan, and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Nashwan Omar Rashid, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, and coinciding with the National Afforestation Day approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Scientific Affairs Division, in cooperation with the Women's Empowerment Unit at the College, organized a afforestation campaign on Tuesday morning, 12/3/2024, which included planting various types of seedlings and trees in the gardens of the College of Pharmacy's classrooms, with the participation of a group of its members and students. The campaign aimed to spread the spirit of cooperation between Kirkuk University, academics, employees and students, as well as to address the challenges of climate change, enhance biodiversity and improve the well-being of academic reality. The Dean expressed his happiness with the success of the campaign, praising the voluntary and positive efforts they made, and stressed the importance of such initiatives in encouraging environmental awareness and contributing to building a healthier and more sustainable society.
