The Women Empowerment Committee at the College of Pharmacy, in cooperation with the Student Activities Division, holds a festival to celebrate International Women's Day

The Women's Empowerment Committee at the College of Pharmacy, in cooperation with the Student Activities Division, held a festival on Thursday, 3/7/2024, to celebrate International Women's Day, which falls on March 8 of each year. The festival's program included celebrating the achievements of women around the world and in all political, economic and social fields, in addition to recognizing women's efforts and their being partners in change and progress. The festival included several activities, including holding an exhibition of plastic works by many of the college's members and students. The displayed paintings, which embodied the steadfastness of the women of Gaza and Palestine, had a prominent and striking presence, in addition to holding an exhibition of cosmetics and medicines concerned with women's beauty. The festival, sponsored by Assistant Professor Dr. Nashwan Omar Rashid, Dean of the College, concluded with the delivery of many speeches and poems that praised the gains and role of women in the global and Iraqi community.
