Two lecturers from the Faculty of Law and Political Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Salam Mu'ayyad Sharif and Assistant Lecturer Alaa Bahaa Omar, participated in the twenty-third international conference (Modern Trends in Social and Human Sciences) under the slogan "Contemporary Developments: Reality and Solutions" in cooperation with the Center for Research and Human Resources Development, Ramah, in Amman/Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan
Participation in the conference was conducted with a scientific research entitled: The Legal Basis for Criminalizing the Phenomenon of Cohabitation/A Comparative Study. The research addressed the phenomenon of premarital cohabitation and its social and moral risks that threaten the family entity and undermine its structure through a comparative study between the Iraqi and Jordanian Penal Codes, stressing in the research the necessity of issuing legislation criminalizing this phenomenon, which has become a scourge that threatens the moral and religious values of society.

A lecturer at the College of Law and Political Science, Professor Dr. Sami Hassan Najm, participated in the membership of the committee discussing a doctoral dissertation in public law, tagged: Modern problems in public employment and the effectiveness of administration in addressing them in Iraq, by researcher Othman Latif Jassim, at the College of Law at Tikrit University.
A lecturer stated that the thesis aimed to identify the most important problems that the administration could face in conducting its administrative tasks, which could lead to the administrative system failing to perform its functions or achieve its goals. These problems can vary depending on the degree of clarity of the data and objectives.
