Under the patronage of the President of Kirkuk University, Professor Dr. Imran Jamal Hassan, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Law and Political Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Murad Saeb Mahmoud, and based on the role of Kirkuk University in coordination and cooperation with all state institutions, the College of Law and Political Science at Kirkuk University, in cooperation with the Iraqi Council of Representatives/Department of Provincial Affairs, held an extensive scientific symposium on analytical readings in the Law of Non-Governorates in a Region No. 21 of 2008 as amended.
The symposium was held in the presence of the Chairman of Kirkuk Provincial Council, Mr. Muhammad Ibrahim Al-Hafez, a number of Kirkuk Deputy Governors, members of the Provincial Council, the Office of the Iraqi Council of Representatives/Kirkuk Branch, faculty members, administrative staff, and college students.
The scientific symposium, which was lectured by Professor Dr. Sami Hassan Najm, the head of the Continuing Education Division at the college, Assistant Professor Dr. Hello Mohammed Saleh, Assistant Professor Dr. Hashim Hussein Ali, Assistant Professor Dr. Hussein Talal Mal Allah, Dr. Aras Jafar Saeed, and Dr. Karzan Sadr al-Din Ahmed, discussed the most prominent proposals to amend the law of governorates not organized in a region, in line with the Constitution of the Republic of Iraq for the year 2005.
The paragraphs of the amendment were discussed by giving opinions and suggestions from the attendees of the symposium, which were constructive ideas in order to present the law of governorates not organized in a region in a way that achieves the aspirations of all the people of Iraq.
