Two lecturers from the Faculty of Law and Political Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Salam Mu'ayyad Sharif and Assistant Lecturer Alaa Bahaa Omar, participated in the twenty-third international conference (Modern Trends in Social and Human Sciences) under the slogan "Contemporary Developments: Reality and Solutions" in cooperation with the Center for Research and Human Resources Development, Ramah, in Amman/Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

Participation in the conference was conducted with a scientific research entitled: The Legal Basis for Criminalizing the Phenomenon of Cohabitation/A Comparative Study. The research addressed the phenomenon of premarital cohabitation and its social and moral risks that threaten the family entity and undermine its structure through a comparative study between the Iraqi and Jordanian Penal Codes, stressing in the research the necessity of issuing legislation criminalizing this phenomenon, which has become a scourge that threatens the moral and religious values ​​of society.
