A lecturer from the College of Law and Political Science participates in a scientific conference at the College of Political Science at the University of Baghdad

The lecturer at the College of Law and Political Science, Lecturer Dr. Yawar Al-Mulla Omar, participated in the annual scientific conference held by the Department of Political and Strategic Studies / Bayt Al-Hikma in cooperation with the College of Political Science - University of Baghdad entitled: Political and Strategic Security Variables in Iraq and the Middle East - The Events of October 7 and Beyond ... Palestine and Lebanon as a Model. On Thursday, October 31, 2024.

The lecturer stated that he participated in the conference about his research entitled: The Role of International Organizations towards the Israeli Aggression on Gaza (The United Nations and the League of Arab States as a Model).

The research showed that after the United States' dominance over the international system, it led to the marginalization of the role of the United Nations and made it a tool in its hand to implement its policies. This led to the tyranny of the Israeli entity in persisting and committing genocide against the Palestinian people and not complying with the United Nations resolutions and stopping the war in Gaza. This showed the inability of the United Nations and its marginalization, so its role became limited to providing humanitarian aid instead of achieving international peace and security. The same applies to the Arab League if its role was limited to denunciation, condemnation and denunciation instead of taking a firm and unified position against the criminal acts of the Zionist entity.
