A Master’s thesis at the College of Agriculture, University of Kirkuk, discussed “The Effect of Cal-Boron, Magnesium, and Organic Fertilizer Sprays on the Growth and Flowering of Bougainvillea” submitted by the student Rawand Hamad Amin Rasool.
The study aimed to evaluate the effects of foliar application of Cal-Boron, magnesium, and the organic fertilizer Hortiboost 10 on the vegetative and flowering growth characteristics of Bougainvillea glabra. It also sought to investigate the effects of individual treatments, as well as their two-way and three-way interactions, on various floral bract traits, and to determine the most effective treatment combination for improving vegetative growth, floral characteristics, and the chemical composition of bougainvillea plants.
The study concluded that foliar application of Cal-Boron, magnesium, and the organic fertilizer had a significant positive effect on the traits examined, indicating their effectiveness in enhancing the growth and flowering performance of Bougainvillea glabra.
