As part of its ongoing campaign to green government institutions in Kirkuk Province, the Afforestation Unit at the College of Agriculture, in cooperation with the Student Activities Division and with the participation of the college’s volunteer team, organized a voluntary tree-planting campaign.
Ms. Omaima Abdel-Samad Hassan, the head of the Afforestation Unit, explained that the campaign included planting trees in several government departments, including Kirkuk College Preparatory School, the Elderly Care Home, and the Department of Special Needs Care. The campaign also involved distributing awareness brochures about the importance of afforestation, methods of tree planting, and the appropriate planting seasons.
