The College of Agriculture, University of Kirkuk, organized a symposium on the legal system for disciplining public employees in Iraqi law, with the attendance and participation of the Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Abdul Rahim Muhammad, and all members of the college. The symposium included two lectures, delivered by the lecturer and head of the legal department at the college, Dr. Batoul Ibrahim Abdul Rahman, and the lecturer, Assistant Professor Basira Abdullah Ahmed, in which they explained that the laws related to disciplining public employees are an essential part of the administrative system in Iraq, as they aim to ensure the smooth running of government work and protect public money. The Iraqi disciplinary system is based on the Civil Service Law No. (24) of 1960 and the State Employees Discipline Law, which define disciplinary violations and procedures for punishing employees for their violations, whether behavioral or administrative. The two lecturers added that these laws include investigation mechanisms and gradual penalties that start with a warning and end with dismissal, with the aim of enhancing discipline and achieving transparency in government institutions.
