Awareness seminar at Kirkuk University on intellectual extremism leading to terrorism

Under the patronage of the respected President of Kirkuk University, Prof. Dr. Imran Jamal Hassan, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Osama Ibrahim Ahmed, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the College organized an awareness seminar on intellectual extremism leading to terrorism, with the attendance and participation of the Dean's Assistants for Scientific and Administrative Affairs at the College, Prof. Dr. Ammar Qahtan Sha'noon, and Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Abdul Rahim Muhammad, and members and students of the College. The seminar included two lectures, the first by Dr. Hussein Wahab and the second by the lecturer Asst. Lect. Maha Ahmed Kamal, in which they explained that intellectual extremism is one of the most dangerous problems facing societies in various countries of the world, whether these countries are Islamic countries or of other religions, and this is reflected in the social fabric of society and negatively affects human, social and behavioral relations between the categories and sects of one society and multiple societies. The two lecturers explained that extremism, in all its levels and forms, is a phenomenon that is not a product of the present age, but rather has ancient historical roots that aim to plan and destroy the self, the economy, the land and the honour, and that increasing intellectual, social and political awareness among members of society and informing them that through moderation and balance, problems are solved in a realistic and clear manner.tersm awareness 2
