The lecturer and head of the Forestry Department at the College of Agriculture, University of Kirkuk, Assistant Professor Dr. Matin Yilmaz Izidin Al-Bayati, participated in the dialogue session organized by the Liberation Association for Development in partnership with the Norwegian People's Aid (NPA) and funded by the Swedish International Development Agency (Sida), within the (Change) project on the best practices and cultural behaviors that are friendly to the environment and climate, with the participation of government departments and relevant civil society organizations. The lecturer explained that the dialogue session included discussions and a workshop on the critical situation resulting from environmental pollution witnessed by Iraq in general and the city of Kirkuk in particular, and ways to improve the environmental reality and hold accountable the parties responsible for this pollution, and the supervisory role of the local government in combating this pollution.
