The Kirkuk University Journal of Agricultural Sciences, issued by the College of Agriculture, University of Kirkuk, has been included in the prestigious DOAJ database for scientific journals.
The Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs and Graduate Studies and the Editor-in-Chief of the journal at the college, Professor Dr. Ammar Qahtan Shanoun, explained that this achievement is considered an important step towards enhancing the reputation of the journal at the local and international levels. The inclusion of the journal in DOAJ ensures an increase in access to published research, the promotion of scientific exchange, and the expansion of The base of readers and researchers is also considered an essential step towards including the Kirkuk University Journal of Agricultural Sciences within the Scopus and Clarivate databases.
Fadla added that this accreditation is a testimony to the journal’s commitment to high scientific standards for scientific publishing, including quality, transparency, and openness to the world, which contributes to strengthening the position of Kirkuk University as a beacon of distinguished scientific research in the fields of agricultural sciences.
