Assistant Professor Dr. Hassan Habib Hassan, a faculty member at the College of Agriculture, University of Kirkuk, participated as a member of a PhD dissertation defense committee for the student Ahmed Majeed Abdullah from the Department of Field Crops, College of Agriculture and Forestry, University of Mosul.
The faculty member explained that he discussed the dissertation titled “The Role of Planting Dates, Seeding Rates, and NPK Fertilizer Application on Forage and Grain Yield of Triticale (Trititcosecale Wittmack L.).”
He indicated that the dissertation examined planting dates and seeding rates at three different levels, along with three levels of NPK fertilizer application for the triticale crop, aiming to determine the optimal planting date, the most suitable fertilization rate, and the appropriate seeding rate for achieving the best yield.
He added that, following an extensive discussion, the defense committee decided to approve the dissertation as part of the requirements for obtaining a PhD degree and granted the student the doctoral certificate.
