The College of Agriculture organizes its second annual Date Palm Festival , its varieties and products

Under the patronage of the Honorable President of the University of Kirkuk, Professor Dr. Imran Jamal Hassan, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Agriculture, Assistant Professor Dr. Osama Ibrahim Ahmed, the activities of the second date palm festival, its varieties and products, were opened on Sunday, 10/1/2023, in the gardens of the Interior Departments Department of the University Presidency.

The Dean of the College of Agriculture explained, “This festival is an agricultural gathering for all farmers and activists in the field of palm cultivation and its varieties, and the companies that manufacture its products, to introduce the general public to the importance of this blessed tree, the most important varieties found in Iraq, and the products extracted from it.”

The Dean of the College added, "The aim of organizing this festival is to spread the culture of palm tree cultivation in Kirkuk Governorate, and to introduce new varieties there."
