Field Crops Department at the College of Agriculture Offers Its Harvest to University Staff at Subsidized Prices

As part of the scientific departments’ efforts at the College of Agriculture to transform the University of Kirkuk into a productive university that supplies local markets with its products and provides university staff with high-quality goods at subsidized prices, the Field Crops Department sold fresh maize ears to university staff and students. This initiative reflects the University of Kirkuk’s commitment, along with its affiliated institutions, to becoming a productive university that supplies local markets and supports domestic products.

Prof. Dr. Khattab Abdullah Mohammed, Head of the Field Crops Department at the College, explained that the department had devoted its efforts and resources to successfully implementing its plan to cultivate various crops in the fields of the Agricultural Research and Experimental Station. These fields serve educational purposes and provide students with opportunities for field observation, while also functioning as productive agricultural projects that supply local markets and support domestic products.
