The Safety and Biosecurity Unit at the College of Pharmacy held a scientific symposium entitled (Laboratory Safety) on Sunday, 02/11/2024.
The symposium included a lecture in which Assistant Lecturer Mustafa Nabil Mardan explained the definition of workers about the United Nations Laboratory Safety Program through symbols, signs and recommendations, and discussed the health effects resulting from exposure to these materials, as well as the diseases that workers may be infected with and ways to prevent them.
In honoring the lecturer, the Dean praised the importance of the issue of occupational security and safety for employees, teachers, and students alike in the College of Pharmacy, and stressed the need to hold more such activities to raise awareness of safe work practices associated with dealing with both chemical and biological materials.
