A lecturer at the College of Pharmacy participates as a member in discussing a doctoral thesis at the University of Kirkuk

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Talat Abbas, a lecturer at the College of Pharmacy and Head of the Clinical Laboratory Sciences Department, participated on Monday morning, 7/15/2024, as a member of the committee to discuss the doctoral thesis of the student Yamama Zuhair Hani in the Department of Chemistry - College of Science / University of Kirkuk under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Israa Ghassan Zainal.

Dr. Muhammad Talat explained that the thesis entitled (A biochemical study of oxidative biomarkers and pseudo-peroxidase activity of hemoglobin in patients with kidney failure) aimed to estimate some biochemical parameters in patients with kidney failure.

The student found that there was a significant increase in total protein, creatinine, and urea, and a significant decrease in total thiol, the ratio of thiol to the ratio of total protein, and some antioxidants in patients with kidney failure compared to the healthy group.
