Professor Dr. Muhammad Talat Abbas, a lecturer at the College of Pharmacy and Head of the Clinical Laboratory Sciences Department, participated on Monday morning, 7/8/2024, as a member of the committee to discuss the doctoral thesis of the student Omar Abdul Aziz Salman at the College of Medicine, Tikrit University, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Intizar Raafat.
Dr. Muhammad Talat explained that the encyclopedic message (The effect of metformin treatment on some biochemical parameters in women with polycystic ovary syndrome) aimed to evaluate the serum level of anti-Mullerian hormone, progesterone, and dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate in women with polycystic ovary syndrome.
The student concluded that the use of metformin treatment led to a significant decrease in the concentration of anti-Mullerian hormone as well as dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate compared to the untreated group in women with polycystic ovary syndrome.
