College of Agriculture Holds Seminar on the Harms of Smoking and Treatment Methods with Broad Academic Attendance

As part of its ongoing series of awareness seminars, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Division at the Presidency of the University of Kirkuk, in collaboration with the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the College of Agriculture, organized an awareness seminar on the harms of smoking to individuals and society and methods for its treatment. The event was attended by the Dean of the College, faculty and administrative staff, students, and representatives of psychological counseling and educational guidance units from across the university.

The seminar featured two lectures delivered by Dr. Zahra Ahmed Hassan and Assistant Lecturer Maha Ahmed Kamal, who addressed the health, legal, and religious aspects of smoking. They emphasized the role of psychological counseling and educational guidance in raising awareness among university students about the harms of smoking to individuals and society and how to address them.
