A delegation from the College of Agriculture participated in the dialogue session organized by the Kirkuk Administration in cooperation with the North Oil Company and in the presence of the First Deputy Governor of Kirkuk, Dr. Yavuz Hamid Mahmoud, and representatives from all government departments in the province, on environmental protection in the province. The session was held in the governorate building. The Kirkuk University delegation included the Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs of the College of Agriculture, Dr. Muhammad Abdul Rahim Muhammad, the Head of the Department of Forestry Sciences, Assistant Professor Dr. Matin Yilmaz Ezz El-Din, and his rapporteur, Asst. Lect. Muhammad Muntaz Ibrahim. The First Deputy Governor of Kirkuk stressed the importance of improving the climate and preserving the environment and the most important negative effects generated by emissions and solid waste. As a provincial administration, we are determined to increase green spaces and establish forests to maintain a healthy climate and environment. The participating delegation explained that the session dealt with explaining the Environmental Protection and Improvement Law and the most important penalties against violators of environmental conditions, the relationship between the environment and prevention and industrial safety, the importance of increasing the planting of heat and dust-resistant trees, the green belt and its importance in improving the environment, the inevitability of moving the mediator stations outside the city, and providing all facilities to encourage the installation of solar energy systems.
