The College of Agriculture establishes two standard orchards at the Agricultural Research and Experimentation Station.

Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Agriculture, University of Kirkuk, Assistant Professor Dr. Osama Ibrahim Ahmed, and with field follow-up by the Lect. Assistant, Dr. Raad Ahmed Maidan, and with the efforts of the staff working at the station, two standard orchards for pomegranates and pears were established in the deciduous fruit field at the Agricultural Research and Experiments Station affiliated with the College of Agriculture. The Dean of the College explained that, in cooperation with the Hawija Horticulture Station, the Agricultural Research and Experiments Station was provided with seedlings, to establish orchards, and that the purpose of establishing orchards is for the purposes of field observations for undergraduate studies students, and to conduct research and studies for postgraduate students.
