Within the program of the national afforestation campaign to combat environmental and climate changes, and under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College of Agriculture, Assistant Professor Dr. Osamah Ibrahim Ahmed, and within the graduation research projects of fourth-year students in the Department of Forestry Sciences, a quantity of bauhinia tree seedlings was produced.
The official in charge of graduation research projects, at the College of Agriculture, Asst. Lect. Mohammed Muntaz Ibrahim, explained that as part of the graduation research projects for students of the fourth stage in the Department of Forest Sciences, more than 2,000 seedlings of bauhinia (camel sandal) trees were produced, which are among the trees suitable for the environment of Iraq and Kirkuk Governorate. It is also an ornamental tree and a tree with medicinal products and has various uses.
