Field visit for fifth-year students

Under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Shahd Abbas Al-Attar, and within the summer training program for fifth-year students, the College of Veterinary Medicine organized a scientific field visit to the modern Kirkuk slaughterhouse and calf-raising fields. Dr. Muzaffar Niazi, one of the medical staff at the teaching veterinary hospital, explained that the mechanism of slaughtering animals is carried out according to specific health conditions and strict controls to ensure that they reach the consumer in a healthy and safe manner. The students also examined and treated some disease cases in the calf-raising fields with the help of the mobile veterinary clinic.
