A scientific field visit for students of the College of Veterinary Medicine in application of the summer training curricula.

The College of Veterinary Medicine organized a scientific field visit for fifth-year students, as part of the summer training curriculum, to fish ponds, sheep farms, and poultry halls at Al-Sayyada site affiliated with the College of Agriculture at the University of Kirkuk. Ms. Fatima Jumaa and Ms. Riyam Sami, the students’ supervisors, explained that the visit came within the college’s plan to develop the students’ skills and inform them about how to raise fish in artificial ponds, what are the methods of caring for raising broiler chickens, and the most important features of sheep farms. This visit aims to raise the efficiency of students and develop their scientific and practical skills, by providing an integrated interactive educational environment that contributes to the preparation of qualified veterinary cadres.
