The Physiology, Biochemistry, and Medicines department is one of the developments that was created on 10/10/2018. The branch is interested in teaching and following up many academic subjects for multiple stages according to the following: -

The first stage: - General chemistry (theoretical and practical) for the first semesters (4 units) and the second (4 units) in the academic year. This course includes general information about chemistry and represents an introduction to the study of chemistry and its relationship as a basic scientific subject in the sciences of veterinary medicine, as it provides information on organic, inorganic and analytical chemistry and an introduction to some chemistry materials
The second stage: Biochemistry (theoretical and practical) for the first and second semesters of the academic year with (4 units per semester). This subject provides valuable scientific information that helps students understand the nature of biochemical reactions in the animal body and its relationship with the vital activities and how to obtain the necessary energy for these activities. The second stage of the physiology (theoretical and practical) for the first and second semesters of the academic year (5 units) for each semester. The physiology course provides the student with information about the physiology of animals and general concepts in animal physiology.
The third stage: Poisons (theoretical) in the first chapter (2 units) and includes the study of the harmful effects of chemicals on living organisms, and the study of mechanisms to detect poisoning cases, symptoms that appear on humans and animals, and the available treatments for that.
The third stage: Medicines (theoretical and practical) in the first and second semesters, with (4 units) for each semester. Students receive lectures on the basics of pharmacology and the nature of chemicals that are made, as well as the relationship of drugs to various diseases.
