The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at Kirkuk University discussed a master’s thesis on the effect of scheduling variable random and fixed random exercises in learning the art of skillful performance of some basic volleyball skills, by the student Qutaiba Sweid Jassim.
The study aimed to identify the effect of scheduling variable random and fixed random exercises on learning the art of skill performance for some basic volleyball skills.
The study reached a set of conclusions, the most important of which is that scheduling the variable random exercise has a positive effect on developing the parts of the skills of blocking the wall and smashing in volleyball, in addition to the positive effect of the main and final parts of the serving skill, but the preparatory part of the serve was not affected positively, although Scheduling a fixed, random exercise has a positive effect on developing the (preparatory, main, and final) parts of the skills (serving, blocking, and smashing). After the student defended his thesis before the committee, the thesis was accepted and awarded with distinction.
On the sidelines of the discussion, the Dean of the College presented a letter of thanks and appreciation to the teaching staff at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Ahmed Hamid Ahmed, for his distinguished efforts, keenness and support for the researcher and for expressing opinions and suggestions that would advance the research scientifically.
