The College of Veterinary Medicine organizes a course on combating corruption.

The College of Veterinary Medicine organized a course entitled “The Legal Framework for Combating Corruption” with the attendance of the college’s members. The course included a lecture delivered by Dr. Mahmoud Adeeb Agha, in which he discussed the legal frameworks for combating corruption by holding accountable employees who exploit their positions by taking bribes, embezzlement, or breaching their duties to achieve personal interest or gain, violating all customs, laws, and traditions and not adhering to the Public Service Law and what is stipulated in the Iraqi Penal Code No. 111 of 1969. The course aimed to raise employees’ awareness of the dangers of administrative corruption through exploiting citizens by taking bribes from them at the expense of performing the job duties assigned to them, and to clarify the administrative penalties imposed for their exploitation of their positions.
