As part of the activities of veterinarians at the veterinary teaching clinic at the College of Veterinary Medicine, two cases of a calf suffering from an abscess in the jaw area were reported. The condition was diagnosed after conducting the necessary examinations and treating the case with surgical intervention. The necessary treatments were also given. The second case was of a ram suffering from a tumor in the jaw bone as a result of an illness.
Actinomycosis Lumpy Jaw
The case was treated by providing appropriate treatment and instructing the breeder to follow veterinary medical instructions and guidelines to avoid health complications. The risks of hemorrhagic fever were also explained and methods of prevention were also explained. It is worth noting that all health and treatment services are provided at the educational veterinary clinic free of charge.
