The Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Shahd Abbas Al-Attar, participated in the meeting of the Committee of Deans of Colleges of Veterinary Medicine in Iraqi Universities at the University of Diyala. Al-Attar indicated that the meeting witnessed a distinguished attendance of the deans of colleges of veterinary medicine in Iraqi universities, coinciding with the activities of the Second International and Third National Conference on Veterinary Sciences (2025-2ICVS). The meeting included a discussion of several important topics aimed at developing veterinary education, unifying educational curricula, updating accreditation mechanisms, and ensuring the quality of education in light of modern scientific developments in the field of veterinary medicine and public health, which contributes effectively to developing the capabilities of veterinarians in protecting livestock, public health, and sustainable development.
