The Committee of Deans of Veterinary Colleges in Iraqi Universities holds its regular meeting at the University of Karbala

On the sidelines of the Sixth Scientific Conference and Third International Conference of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Karbala, the regular meeting of the Committee of Deans of Veterinary Medicine Colleges in Iraqi Universities was held. The meeting was attended by deans of colleges from various Iraqi universities, and was attended by Prof. Shahd Abbas Al-Attar, Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Kirkuk.
This meeting comes within the framework of serious efforts to consolidate academic integration and unify visions among colleges of veterinary medicine, contributing to raising the level of scientific and research and keeping pace with global developments in the fields of veterinary education and animal health.
During the meeting, the committee addressed several strategic topics, most notably the development of curricula in line with the latest international academic standards, the promotion of applied scientific research in the fields of common diseases, food safety, and public health, and the discussion of mechanisms for activating cooperation between colleges and relevant institutions to enhance the effectiveness of veterinary education outcomes in serving the community. Al-Attar stressed the need to continue efforts to formulate unified policies to advance veterinary education in Iraq, work in a spirit of partnership and coordination to achieve sustainable development goals, and consolidate the vital role of veterinarians in preserving health, environmental, and food security.
