The College of Veterinary Medicine organized a workshop entitled “Artificial Intelligence in Veterinary Medicine: Pros and Cons” with the attendance of the college students. The workshop included a lecture given by M.M. Damt Fikrat, M.M. Hiam Rashid, and Mona Hashem. The lecture explained the uses of artificial intelligence in the field of veterinary medicine and its many benefits, the most important of which are early detection of diseases and accurate diagnosis, and what are the treatment plans followed through the use of artificial intelligence techniques in analyzing the genetic data of different animals. The workshop aimed to demonstrate the extent of the ability of artificial intelligence in the field of veterinary medicine by identifying contagious and transmissible diseases that affect animals before they appear, through clinical examination, and the extent of the ability of artificial intelligence to monitor the vital signs and behavior of animals.
